Tracy Mieszczak was diagnosed with scleroderma in 2006. After her diagnosis, it took a long time for her to realize that she needed to live for today and not plan the next years ahead. As she says: “I cannot control scleroderma but I can control my response to it and am determined to make the most of what I was given. I want to be able to use my experiences and journey to help others who are also impacted by scleroderma.” She founded the “Giving Back through Friendship” program where she creates awareness about scleroderma and raises money for scleroderma charities.
