Marieke Neyer

M.Sc. Student

Originally from Hamburg, Germany, Marieke graduated from the University of Lübeck in 2021 with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology. In 2021, she was a Mitacs intern with Prof. Brett Thombs. During her time as a research intern, she conducted a cross-sectional study aimed at identifying symptoms associated with sleep disturbances in individuals with systemic sclerosis.

She is currently pursuing a master's degree in clinical psychology at the University of Heidelberg, Germany. In August of 2023, she will finish a second, research-oriented master's program in mental health at McGill University under the supervision of Prof. Thombs. Her master's thesis focuses on resilience in people with scleroderma. After completing her master's degrees, Marieke aspires to pursue a doctorate in clinical psychology.
