Elsa-Lynn Nassar

PhD student

Elsa is a PhD student in Clinical Psychology at McGill University, under the supervision of Dr. Brett Thombs. Born and raised in Beirut, Lebanon, Elsa started her undergraduate studies in Psychology at the Lebanese American University and completed her bachelor’s degree in Honours Psychology at Concordia University in 2021. She then completed her MSc in Psychiatry at McGill with the team in 2023. Elsa’s research broadly focuses on improving patient engagement and knowledge translation in SPIN and in applied health research more generally. She has also been involved in work involving the methodological quality and reporting transparency of depression screening accuracy studies with the DEPRESSD and meta-research teams; individual participant data meta-analyses on the diagnostic accuracy of depression screening tools with the DEPRESSD team; and living systematic reviews of the effectiveness of non-pharmacological interventions and the prevalence of mood and anxiety disorders in scleroderma with the SPIN team
