This month, thousands of people across Canada participated in Walk, Run or Ride for Scleroderma 2019. Organized by Scleroderma Canada and provincial scleroderma organizations, including Sclérodermie Québec, these events are a unique opportunity members of the scleroderma community to raise awareness and funding for the disease, and make new connections within the community.

SPIN researchers and trainees had the privilege of attending scleroderma walks in Mirabel QC, Québec City QC, Sherbrooke QC, Hamilton ON, and Ottawa ON. It was wonderful seeing friends and families come together in support of people living with scleroderma, even in the face of strong winds and rain.

Thank you to everyone who attended or contributed to this year’s walks! Your involvement makes a difference, especially for research initiatives like SPIN that are aiming to help scleroderma patients around the world live better with their disease.
