The SPIN team just published results from the first study to explore factors associated with fears during COVID-19 in a vulnerable population with a pre-existing medical condition and the first study to apply the validated COVID-19 Fears Questionnaire for Chronic Medical Conditions. The COVID-19 Fears Questionnaire was developed based on input from 121 people with scleroderma who shared their fears and with advice from the SPIN-COVID-19 Patient Advisory Team. The SPIN research team analyzed results from 431 participants in Canada, France, the United Kingdom, and the United States, by comparing regular SPIN Cohort survey responses obtained before COVID-19 with those obtained within the SPIN-COVID-19 Cohort. Check out the research infographic below for a summary of results. To read more, access the article free-of-charge here:https://doi.org/10.1016/j.jpsychores.2020.110314.
