Dr. Thombs and the SPIN-HAND study featured in the Arthritis Society's Research Impact Snapshot

by Angelica Bourgeault | Feb 12, 2020

The Arthritis Society's team has been working on creating a series of “Research Impact Snapshots” that provide plain language summaries of scientific publications made possible in part by Arthritis Society funding, with the goal of generating interest in their research program and raising awareness of its impact. One of the papers they decided to highlight is SPIN's research on “The association of sociodemographic and disease variables with hand function: a Scleroderma Patient-centered Intervention Network cohort study” (read online here: https://www.clinexprheumatol.org/abstract.asp?a=12865), which aligns with their audience’s interests in new ways to manage inflammatory arthritis.

Thank you Arthritis Society for your wonderful Research Impact Snapshot on Dr. Thombs and the SPIN-HAND study! SPIN-HAND is an online exercise program that was first tested by SPIN Cohort participants and will be made available to the public in less than a month!
